Landscape and Geology
The South West has a rich and varied landscape for you to explore including, the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, a European Geopark, granite moors, limestone hills, winding rivers, wide flood plains, forests, old mines and of course the rolling country side so typical of England.
It’s geological heritage, assisted by man, has shaped the landscape into what it is today. Delve a little deeper and you can begin to understand how the earth has changed as well as how human life has evolved over the centuries.
We will let you know what the landscape has to offer in the area you have chosen to stay and direct you to sites of special interest. We will inform you of events, guided walks and lectures taking place whilst you are here, and make sure you don’t miss out on any fossil hunting fun.
