Times past come to life through the South West’s museums. Many towns and villages are proud to show their heritage resulting in a vast diversity of information and experiences on offer. You can discover how people made their living, delve into the depths of a mine, feel the effects of World War II, or stand in a farmer’s cottage as it was hundreds of years ago, to give but a few examples. The varied exhibitions offer unique insights into the inhabitants of the area, their lives, their ambitions and their achievements, as well as the landscape that they live in.
